You can enable the 911 option on any phone number in your account. Here is how:
911 on a User Number
To set the e911 option on a user smart number:
- Go Numbers under Settings of the user for whom you want to enable the 911 feature.
- If the number does not yet have the 911 option, edit the number and enable it. Fees may apply.
- Once, the number has the 911 option enabled, a 911 icon will be displayed on the right hand side of the number.
- Click the 911 icon to view and edit 911 address for emergency localization.
- Click Save once done. The new address will be provisioned on the e911 service provider system.
911 on a Company Number
To set the e911 option on a company main receptionist number:
- Go Receptionists then click on the receptionist profile for which you want to enable the 911 feature.
- Go to the Phone Numbers section in the Receptionist Properties page to view the list of phone numbers assigned to this virtual receptionist profile.
- If the number for which you want to enable the 911 feature does not yet have the 911 option, edit the number and enable it. Fees may apply.
- Once, the number has the 911 option enabled, a 911 icon will be displayed on the right hand side of the number.
- Click the 911 icon to view and edit the 911 address for emergency localization.
- Click Save once done. The new address will be provisioned on the e911 service provider system.
