The full name of each new user will automatically be added to your organization's "Main" voice directory in each language supported by your virtual receptionist service. Optionally, you can change the default configuration to add the phonetics for the first name alone and the family name alone in the voice directory. This enables callers from inside and outside your company to reach members of your organization by saying their first name, last name or full name. These parameters apply to new users only. Phonetics are what the virtual receptionist uses to recognize names requested verbally by people who call.
The proper pronunciation of some names, especially foreign names, may require phonetic adjustments for better speech recognition results based on the caller’s language (English or French). Click on a name in the list to fine-tune its phonetic pronunciations English-speaking callers and French-speaking callers.
